The Pirates towards America In search of the Spanish galleons loaded with riches

The pirates were looking for boats loaded with riches, and the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus gave them one of the best routes. Places that looked like Paradise, Freedom, Refuges, Gold, Silver etc.

The kingdom of Spain not only discovered new lands, but also found something that was the dream of every pirate or privateer, huge amounts of gold and silver.

During centuries there was a ship traffic to Europe of galleons loaded with enormous riches. These mainly Spanish ships were stocked in the Caribbean before embarking on their voyage to Europe.

During these centuries these galleons were persecuted from their departure from the Caribbean Sea until the arrival to Spain.
