Turtle Island – The infamous pirate island

Named after its distinctive shape Turtle Island was positioned so strategically it quickly became a hideout for pirates and their loot.

Located as it is, opposite the Island of Hispaniola, it became a nightmare for Spaniards who were continuously attacked as they battled their way across the oceans.

The Brotherhood of the Coast, a well-known pirate group were the most well organised band of pirates in the Caribbean.
